Do Shooter Make Ready targets work with both red and green lasers?
Yes, our targets are sensitive to the light emitted by most red and green lasers.
Our targets are sensitive to laser light within the 530nm to 640nm range which covers brilliant green to bright red colors. The cutoff at 640nm is fairly sharp and lasers with longer wavelengths will not be detected reliably. The red lasers used in SIRT training pistols operate around a wavelength of 635nm whereas the green lasers operate around 535nm, both of which work very well with our targets. Some firearm training products use deep red lasers that operate around 650nm which is a wavelength not as easily detected by our targets. We do not recommend using our targets with lasers having a wavelength above 640nm.
